Chapter 2 - Orientation weekend

We had a wonderfull orientation in Cape Town from the 27th Feb - 1st March for all the In-bound and Out-bound scholars. It was so exciting to meet all the incoming scholars and I learned so much.

It was an action packet weekend which included:
  • Going to the Mvula high school in Nyanga

  • Meeting the deputy mayor of Cape Town - Graeme Haskings

  • Climbing Lionshead and having a great drumming class afterwards

  • Having breakfast at the Royal Cape Yacht Club and listing to some very insightfull talks

  • Selling calamari at the "Community Carnival"

  • Dragon boat racing

  • Going to the red cross childrens hospital

  • Finishing with lunch in the Kirstenbosch botanical gardens and listening to a concert
  • Thank you for all the hard work from Rotary to make this weekend possible!
